The Hand of Sar'i

Pencil Sketch

Colored in Photoshop

I have a sketchbook full of drawings like this, I thought about systematically coloring them all in. Well, the good ones at least.

This is one of my more favorite images in this sketchbook. There is some background information concerning the mythology of this piece, but I won't get into any of that. Anyway, enjoy.

I Am The Doctor

This is the image that my 9 10 11 pic is based on. Again I wanted an image of Ecclestons, Tennants and Smith's doctor as one physical person. It was a wee bit difficult because none of them are quite the same size. I mean it is believable that Smith and Ecclesont are about the same, by Tennant is definitely not, so that is why he is not quite aligned up 100%.

The reason the 9 10 11 pic sprouted from this one was because as I was drawing this I really wanted an image where their faces aligned up and the viewer can distinctively recognize each person, it is a little more difficult to do that in this image. I mean, poor Matt Smith, I mean really the only features of his you can see in this image are his hair and nose.

Anyway, when I finished the image I realized that it would look nicer as a landscape image rather than a portrait. That is why there are two version of the same pic.

Anyway, enjoy.

Darth Cooltax

Years ago when I was making an email address my sister was helping me set it up, and while she was doing this for me she made my email name darthcooltax. It was just some name she made up on the spot. Of course a few lights switched on in my head and I have drawn numerous sketches of Darth Cooltax snice. These are among the nicer looking ones. I am not really going to into the ideas behind them, just that I gave him wrist light sabers based on the Xemnas boss fight in Kingdom Hearts II

H'el on Earth

I am a fan of the New 52, I particularly liked the H'el storyline. Might make a better version in the future.

Armor

Pencil Sketch

Grayscale

Color

Lights

This is one of my original ideas, though it was based on various armors found in popular culture, most notably the ones found in Kingdom Hearts. There is a back-story to this which I am not going to bother getting into. FYI, I did sketches for this which were meant to get the armors more aesthetic feel, and quite frankly I was surprise on how nice looking the armor turned out because those sketches were awful.

Biblical Creature

A year ago a friend from work knew that I liked to draw and asked me to illustrate a creature from the bible, as I recall from the book of revelations. The description that I remember him reading was this locust like creature with a scorpion stinger, hair of a woman, some sort of crown, teeth of a lion whom would eat the flush of men, and I think there was horse feet involve in there.

Anyway, classic biblical creature, much like creatures imagined in the old days they mixed and matched what already existed. Anyway, I drew a sketch which he liked but sadly got lost, but fortunately I scanned it and colored it in using Photoshop. I sent it to him and recall him loving it, which in the end was the important thing. I of course liked how it turned out, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it.

Watercolor Still Lives

A couple of years ago I took a watercolor class and these are among the better works I did in that class. There are more that I won't post because they were either in class still lives I didn't have enough time to finish or homework ones where they were half ass done because Mass Effect 3 just came out at the time.

Anyway enjoy.
